The 2013 North Face Race To The Top Of Vermont has come and gone. It was by far our most successful year ever thanks to all of our volunteers and sponsors! Results from the 2013 event can be found on our Results Page. Mark you calendars for August 24th, 2014 as next year we’re cooking up some surprises!
The North Face Race to the Top of Vermont has been called the hardest race ANYONE can do!
Now… this doesn’t mean you have to be genetically gifted or driven to train 7 days a week in order to attend. It means this course is going to challenge you, but if you are determined enough you will succeed and be inspired by your effort.
Every August the North Face Race To The Top Of Vermont does draw as many as 800 hikers, mountain bikers, and runners from across the U.S. and Canada to climb Mount Mansfield, Vermont’s highest peak located in Stowe, Vermont. The course climbs up the historic Toll Road, is 4.3 miles in length and climbs 2564 ft. For some it’s all about trying to achieve the fastest time up this tough 4.3 mile course. For others… they come to challenge themselves against the mountain, and to enjoy the spectacular views. For the non-competitive people, the hike is a perfect way to enjoy this beautiful course, enjoy the company of friends, and be inspired by their effort. Either way, we promise that the Race to the Top of Vermont will be one of the most challenging and fulfilling days you experience all season long.

This year the Catamount Trail Association (CTA) is excited to announce The North Store @ KL Sport as the Title Sponsor of the 6th Annual Race To The Top Of Vermont taking place on August 25, 2013. The KL Mountain Shop has long been the place to go when looking for high quality equipment and amazing service. The guys over at KL Sport always bring their A-game and we are glad to have them on board.
And let’s not forget about the kids! 2013 will mark the second running of the MVP Health Care Run For Fun! This 1K or 3K mini hill climb is for children 4-14 years of age and serves as an introduction to the life long sport of running. Every child is a winner and everyone will receive a custom made medal and a souvenir bib for participating in this fun
event. The MVP Health Care Run For Fun will take place at Midway Lodge at 12:00 noon on August 25th.
At the end of the day you can relax, listen to the blister’in hot countrified jazz and green mountain blues by Red Hot Juba, grab some BBQ and experience the “Best Awards and Raffle in all of Vermont!“
So, there’s only one question left… Are You Tough Enough?
